Today’s Blogtober challenge requires me to tell you a bit about my blogging goals for 2016. True to form I have many.
I know some of you are bloggers too and that’s why you come here, but even if you aren’t I hope that you get some kind of enjoyment out of this. It will be nice for us to look back on this together towards the end of 2016 and see how far we have come. I say we because you guys are a huge part of this whole operation. You inspire me, encourage me, share ideas, offer constructive criticism and you’re always there for a chat. I’d like to consider us a team, friends, and for that reason every success that I celebrate here I consider to be a team effort.
Anyway, enough of the mushy stuff. This little corner of the internet has grown quite a lot since I started it in April. It really gives me hope and motivation that we’ll be able to achieve a lot together next year. Here are just a few of my goals.
My Blogging Goals For 2016
- Reach 3000 subscribers.
I’m currently sitting around 1425 of you beautiful people, which isn’t bad at all, but this has inspired me to believe that we can do even better next year.
- Grow to 1000 followers on Twitter and Instagram.
I’ve not been the most active on Twitter and Instagram, so I’d really like to work on that and connect with more of you there.
- Have 3000 likes on my blog’s Facebook page.
My Facebook page seems to have gone from strength to strength this year and almost grown as quickly as my blog. I’d really love to talk with more of you there every day, so I’m going to make a genuine effort to get the page out there and get connected.
- Get Snapchat.
This is something that I’ve seen so many other bloggers do and I love it. Unfortunately this is on hold until I get a new phone, but I’d love for us to be able to share pictures and videos with each other behind the scenes. Things that you wouldn’t see on this blog.
- Create a Youtube channel to work in conjunction with my blog.
This is in the works right now. My aim is to have launched my Youtube channel in November, but I’ve been a busy busy bee lately so I’m not going to make promises as far as that goes. However I can promise that I will definitely be creating my own Youtube channel at some point by 2016!
- Host my first ever Q&A.
I personally feel like Q&As are the bread and butter of a good blog/Youtube channel. It’s a great way to connect, but it also gives you guys a chance to get to know things about me that I might not normally think to mention. I don’t really think there is enough of us right now to do a Q&A but hey if you have any questions for me in the meantime just tweet me and I’ll try my best to answer them.
- Meet up with other bloggers.
Yes! This is so so high on the list. At the start I was a little sheepish and scared when it came to networking with other bloggers. But now that I’ve made the first steps and even participated in the Blogger Box Share and the Blogtober challenge I’m ready to go! My dream would be to collaborate on a post or video, or even just hang out for a bit and share some tips.
- Do my first ever in depth tutorial of a makeup look.
I’ve done quite a few makeup looks that I’ve really, really wanted to share with you. The main thing that stopped me was my rubbish camera (now not a problem) and the second thing was my confidence. But, after all the compliments I received on my eyebrow tutorial post I’ve decided it’s time to stop being a baby about things. I’m not an expert, not at all, but I’d like to think that would make my tutorials would be more achievable for everyone than some beauty guru’s!
So there you have my blogging goals for 2016. It’s important to set yourself goals sometimes so that you can stay motivated and keep track of your progress, although it’s also important not to forget to look back and see how far you have already come.
This year this little corner of the internet has grown from maybe 10 followers when I first started to a whopping 1425 of you. We’ve started a Facebook page which has about 1300 of you talking with me everyday and we’ve upped the anti on Instagram and Twitter. None of this would be possible without your amazing support. You inspire me to keep going, no matter what the critics say.
If you haven’t already; check out my Facebook Page, Twitter and Instagram. I’d love to be able to talk with you all more personally, and I’m always open for a chat. What goals are you setting yourself for 2016?
